Minor Procedures

We do appreciate that certain skin problems, such as moles, skin tags, cysts, etc can affect your looks and your confidence and also can cause quite a lot of concern regarding the possibility of a skin cancer.

Dr Apostolos with years of work at the Christie Hospital, an International Cancer centre, dealing with complex skin cancers, melanoma and challenging reconstructions, has gained a massive experience in managing any of the known “lumps and bumps”.

All minor cosmetic surgery takes place under local anaesthesia, in the office, lasts from 30 to 60 minutes and is associated with very small downtime. We will also send any suspicious lesion removed from your body to the lab for Histology, to exclude any form of skin cancer.

Some of the procedures that we often perform are:

  • Mole excision

  • Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) management

  • Sebaceous Cyst removal

  • Lipoma removal

  • Keloid Management

  • Skin tags and warts removal

  • Tattoo excision

  • Earlobe repairs

  • Consultation

It's important for everyone considering minor surgery to research the procedure, consult with a qualified and experienced plastic surgeon, and have realistic expectations regarding the outcomes of the surgery.

Not all lesions on the body are the same, so clinical examination is important to define the clinical problem and best surgical approach.

During your consultation you will have the opportunity to ask all your questions and discuss any concerns in a relaxed environment.

For these small cases, we provide a “see and treat” service, which means treatment on the same day!

  • Surgery

On the day, you come in the clinic 15 minutes earlier to get you ready. Your Surgeon will go through the surgery details, do the consent form and .discuss the after care.

Theatre and nursing staff are highly experienced and will make you feel calm and relaxed.

Immediately after your procedure you will confirm the after care with the team.

You will be discharged home straight after based on the fact that you are feeling well and there are no immediate post-operative issues.

  • After Care

Recovery at Home: Follow post-operative care instructions provided by the surgeon.Rest well and avoid strenuous activities during the initial recovery period. Eat well and stay hydrated. Take your painkillers as instructed. Mobilise freely but listen to your body. Keep the area dry and start cleaning and washing only as directed.

Follow-Up Appointments: Attend scheduled follow-up appointments for wound check and removal of sutures and get in touch with any concerns.
